Our goal is to produce good using horses that can cover the country all day with athleticism and grit, as well as look good in an arena. From rope horses, to ranch horses and show horses, they can do it all. We use all of the mares and the stallion on the ranch, and select our lines accordingly. Two Eyed Jack, Watch Joe Jack, Driftwood, , Smart Chic Olena, My Skip Ashwood, Three Bars and Frenchmans Guy feature prominently in our pedigrees. Crossing the "run" and rodeo breeding on tried and true ranch and cow sense has resulted in handy using horses that can read a cow on there range, out of the box, and look good doing it.
Since her first foal hit the ground in 2022, Mo has been a phenomenal producer for us. Smart, athletic foals that are turning out to be just like their dam. This mare has been Naccona's number 1 Sale barn horse since 2019, when she's not in the broodmare band and was even shown in ranch horse in 2024 for the fist time. With Watch Joe Jack still on her papers plus lines going back Harlan and Alamitos Bar this pretty grey has a nice foundation build and and work ethic that cannot be beat.

We didn't plan to breed Hickory, but circumstances changed, leading to one of our most highly anticipated crosses for 2025! Hickory has been a standout little mare for us since we purchased her in 2020. Used on the ranch, at the sale barn, in the branding pen, and the performance arena, she has seen it all. She is wicked fast and has some serious cow in her that makes her super fun to rope off of. Hickory carries the Nagel Quarter Horse brand from North Dakota, and is by their High Brow Hickory/Docs Prescription Stallion, out of a Ciderwood/Docs Lynx mare.

DJ is our newest addition to the broodmare band, coming to us from South Dakota! Short, stocky, and with great conformation, she also added some lines we have been trying to get our hands on for a long time! On the top side, she is dual bred Sonny Dee Bar, as well as Rudy Ashwood and Steel Bars. Her bottom side includes Colonel Freckles, Tuf N Busy, and Goldseeker Bars. The dam side also brings in more of our favorite, Two Eyed Jack, through Two Eyed Red Buck and Watch Joe Jack. We are so excited to see what this mare produces!

We lost Aurora in Summer of 2023. She gave us one last foal, and gave everything in her to raise her baby. However due to the advanced stage of navicular in her front legs, we made the decision to let her go on to greener pastures. Billie, her long time pasture mate, proved once again how amazing she is, and adopted Aurora's foal, without any input from us. We did not expect this, but we are so thankful for Mama Billie. Rosie will remain on the ranch as a saddle horse and future broodmare.
We lost Billie in Spring 2024. She was the start of the Slash2D Ranch Quarter Horse breeding program in Eastern Montana. She only had 4 foals for us, which has been a big regret. They are intelligent, hardworking, and gorgeous to look at. Billie was the herd leader and the best broodmare you could ask for. She raised her pasture buddy Aurora's last foal, when we lost her in the summer of 2023. Rosie and Jo are inseparable and have so many of Mama Billie's quirks and personality. We are so thankful to have 2 of her daughters staying on the ranch as saddle horses and future broodmares.
